Yeah that's why I'm building my CAI to run into my front bumper. Make sure if you get an intake that you realize the car's ECU is housed in the stock airbox because once you remove it you'll need a bracket to mount it to or else it just lays there helpless.

were do you relocate the computer inside the air box?

 

You have to make a bracket. The guys at s40forums.com used to make and sell them but they don't anymore.

MM.. Do you have any pics/updates on your custom intake project? I'm almost done with mine but I am trying to decide on where to tap the piping for the vacuum hose.
