Yeah, this topic is becoming more needed for our cars "of a certain age." There have been a few headliner repair threads that cover some of the skills.

I'm going to need those skills soon myself. I was a little vigorous on scrubbing the arm rest part of the door panels and broke the covering fabric free of the foam interliner.

Depending on the balance between your time resources and your money resources, you could either pull them apart yourself or ask an upholsterer to do it.
