The button on the shifter does not pop out. Is this a common problem? Easy to fix?

 

If you look at the top of the button on the **** you will most likely see where it is broke.

It is pretty common.You will need a new ****.

 

How do you get it off? How much is it? Can you get it anywhere or only at volvo?

 

I don't remember the price.I think you can only get it from the dealer.
The shift **** just pulls off.You will have to get the boot off the bottom of the **** first.You do that by twisting the lock ring in the boot and pushing down.

 

Mine happened too. I just have to push the button out manually if it sticks. Try a bit of spray lub might fix it.
