Hi,

I want to buy this part and it's just a screw. Can I get in a hardware store like Home Depot?

Does that indicate the dimensions or type of the screw? Thanks.

 

What I do in these situations is take the screw with me to the hardware store and make sure they match the diameter, length, and pitch. Also pay attention to the screw head. If the replacement is smaller sometimes you can compensate for that with a washer, but if it's too big you need to keep looking unless you want to grind it down to fit, which I have done in a pinch as long as it wasn't in a glaringly visible area and wouldn't compromise the function. In rare cases I end up at the dealer for the exact part simply because it is so special there is no other option.
