Hi guys,

Have just become the proud owner of a 1999 S40 T4. The seller kept stating how lucky i was to be getting it with a full tank of petrol..... well it turns out that as soon as the fuel gets to around the half way line or just below i lose all power and it stutters and begins to stall with any application of the accelerator??

Any help? Was reading about the FPR but this seems to only apply to engines which take time cranking over? Would it be the fuel pump if it runs fine when the tank is full?

Any help much appreciated

Welcome, It is probably the fuel pump....keep the car over 1/2 a tank till it is changed.
