Newbie with a 2000 S40, got some questions :p
Hey guys,
I had some questions...
1) What are the best performance mods for a 2000 S40 that some of you may have or plan to get? Budget: $300-$500
2) Would you recommend buying a catback system? How restrictive is the exhaust system on this car?
3) Any websites you recommend that contains lots of walkthroughs? I am an amateur mechanic and love working on cars myself.
4) Any websites with cheap parts? (besides ebay lol)
5) Any websites you recommend with lots of aftermarket parts for the 2000 Volvo S40?
6) How much boost is a factory build 2000 S40 running? Potential for more boost available?
7) Any good bolt on turbo kits you recommend?

Get a chip or ECU upgrade. Tuning Companies (ECU upgrades)

Any factory exhaust system has some level of restriction. Yes get one. EST, IPD has some, but you can also go to a shop and get on done. 3in downpipe to 2.5in cat-back with free flowing mufflers like magna flow.

Well this is one site, but volvospeed.com, turbobricks.com, swedespeed.com, ...ect. There is a few other sites but can't think of them.

You are probably sitting at 5-8psi stock(NOt sure though). yes you can run about 10-12psi on the stock car

No real kits available for volvos. you can peice one together.
