I purchased the volvo 2001 S 40, the guy I purchased the car from said he changed the battery and the radio stopped working.

There is no power to the radio. We have checked both inline fuses. Any suggestions?

I have read that you sometimes have to put in a 4 digit code, but I can't do that there is nothing on the screen.

Had to do this for mine as well.

If it doesn't show "input code" on the radio:

1) Turn key in position "1"
2) Wait 2 hours. Yes, two hours.
3) The screen should read "input code" at which point you turn your "source" **** for each number, pushing the **** after each digit to enter.

You'll find the code in the owners manual.

 

check power & ground to the radio, if so, you may need a new radio
