Default Oil in Coolant
I have a 2005 S40 T5 turbo/ My coolant tank is filled with oil. No coolant in the oil!!! The car runs great! Changed the head gasket, trany oil cooler, turbo charger! My next plan is to check the oil cooler. Any suggestions on how to do that? Maybe other places that the contamination could occur?

You didn't add something like water wetter did you? I've seen that stuff look like oil floating in the overflow tank.

Is the trans cooler not part of the radiator? (assuming auto)

Not on 2005 models. They added external coolers for trany oil and engine as well

Did you mix the red coolant with the green coolant? I've seen that look pretty bad too.

I seem to recall a Tech Net Note concerning oil in the coolant related to the oil cooler or transmission cooler.

there is a coolant contamination test.
