Default Changing exhaust gasket caused oil leak? (Solved)

Hello, (2008 s40 t5) I just replaced the exhaust manifold gasket on my Volvo, after letting it sit after taking a little spin I noticed a lot of oil under the car. I think I know the source but I dont know if this valve is supposed to be plugged or if its a check valve. Any help would be great Thank you

Should it be plugged? I don't see any loose lines that would have gone to it.

No hose - its just a drain point for your coolant. as they say in New York, 'dont worry about it'

Oil might be coming out of your oil cooler itself - or the o rings where its mounted to the oil pan. If oil is coming out of the rubber hoses - then the oil cooler is broken internally.

I have oil coming from up above the cooler itself from this fitting, I just need to know why that fitting would be leaking so much

Are you sure the oil isn't coming from higher up and dripping down to this point?

My vote is a leaking cam seal. Have you ever replaced your pcv/ oil trap?

So after looking closer I feel the leak is from the turbos oil return line. But its not leaking at the turbo, but from where it goes into the block. My only reason for thinking this is i left that line connected when i moved the turbo and exhaust back to replace the exhaust manifold gasket. So im thinking it messed up the seal at the block, is that a simple fix?

cheap and easy - these are the parts you need:

That is where they usually leak, at the block. I figured since you changed the exhaust manifold gasket, there was likely some movement of the turbo oil lines. If that seal is brittle then it would likely crack and leak.
