Bump - P0133 coming back on for me too
P0133 is bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor. I replaced this same front and before-cat sensor with OEM sensor. P0133 keeps coming back.
I'd rather not go through what chimmy's gone through and replace the rear O2 sensor and the MAF and possibly more.
Harness adapter included and no vacuum leaks.
Any suggestions?

This for the 2000-2004.5 cars with the 1.9L Turbo engine. Has everyone had the recall ECM flash done and the O2 sensor adapter harness installed? The stock O2 sensor harness has 2 wires reversed. The dealer adds a short harness between the car and the O2 sensor that makes the wiring correct. This additional harness does not come with the O2 sensor.

Already had the correct mini harness
I already had the old mini harness and it fits the new Bosch OEM O2 sensor fine.
Keep em coming!
So far, I've replaced MAF sensor, flex pipe, checked for exhaust leak, new cat, tuned it up myself, went to dealer for ECM flash/update and now I'm about to burn trash this car or donate it to Goodwill.
What else can I do?

Dealer Refused To Flash ECU
I went to the volvo dealership and they provided me with the harness. The p0133 came back. So I changed the O2 sensor yet again. The code came back yet again, then I read here about the ECU flash. I went back to the dealership and asked them about the ECU, and they refused to flash it telling me that they only give the harness to solve the problem.
Is there any advise anyone here could give me to help solve the issue here?

i ended up buying a OBD2 scanner from walmart and reset the ECU (engine computer) manually. that was it! volvo dealers are the worst.
1. change the correct 02 sensor, bank 1 or bank 2. bank 1 is easy. i borrowed an O2 sensor nut from autozone and used some elbow grease to get the O2 sensor off. replaced with new Bosch O2 sensor from dealer.
2. reset the code with "borrowed" OBD2 scanner from walmart. i returned OBD2 sensor back to walmart.
