p0236 and p0171
Hello everyone,
I just picked up a 2003 volvo s40 for the wife with a as is warranty. After driving the car home, the check engine light came on. I have a scanner, so the codes that were coming up were p0171, p0172, and p0236. The next morning, I found a hose that was broken coming from the air filter housing after the maf to a sensor that leads towards the turbo. After fixing it, the only codes coming up was p0236 and p0171. After doing some research, I decided to change the map sensor near the fuel rail ($115 for the part). Driving for a while, everything seem good, until I made a u-turn and the car shut off on me and the two codes p0171 and p0236 came back on. The car turns back on fine, but now I'm stumped. What do I need to do now? Change the other map sensor on the turbo? It seems p0236 comes on as a pending code first after clearing the codes again. Please someone help.
