I only can say that it wasn't me, one of the members of my family decided that parking brake release button is sitting too deep inside the handle and the best way to rectify that is to rip the freaking handle off the base.
Now, of course, I am stuck with sharp metal spikes that used to hold handle down and have no idea how to put it back.
If someone has experience, please share.
a. How to put it back so the corrugated plastic "accordion" in the console, "hugs" the shifter handle.
b. Prevent the handle from sliding out again, without interfering with the operation of the parking brake.
