I have a 04 LSE (1.9T). I can't find the name of this part. Its a small diaphram/spring thing plugged into the brake booster with one hose going to a air pump? and the other hose going to the exhaust header before the intercooler. It also has a microswitch in it.

All i know is when it pops apart i have no power brakes. Once the car warms up and the idle settles down the power brakes work perfect...

I found mine split apart too. I used JB Weld and held it together in my vise until it completely hardened. That was a couple years ago. Still works fine.

 

That's what i'm going to do right now....tried all sorts of tape and super glues, but they never worked for more than a day...ANy idea what the parts name is?

Not here in China. I'm running Windows 7 Home edition and can't install VIDA so no help with the exact part name. I do remember the dealer looking it up fairly easily though. VIDA has exploded diagrams of the brake system so if nothing else you can point to it on their computer.

 

guess a trip to dealer parts counter to at get the name. Using some plastic epoxy...we'll see how it works

 

Plastic two part epoxy didn't work!!!! Out of JB weld...off to the store
