passenger airbag off. urgent service required - ugg
I just got an SRS urgent service required warning on my '08 S40. I plugged in my little tool, and it tells me the code: SRS-0003 Pad Lamp. I have no idea what this could be besides the indicator on the overhead console that says when the passenger side airbag is off. Google is not very helpful either. It does look a little dim, but could this be the cause of this error? I did try to reset the code, but it pops back up after it is cleared.
If so, are there any common easy fixes? Can I replace the LEDS?
If thoughts on what this warning is is wrong, any other insights?
Thanks in advance!

You are the first one I've read about having this issue. Can you turn the airbag off on the pax side?
You need a DiCE scan tool to look at the SRS module in detail. Sorry I'm not much help.

Are these Volvo specific code tools available on the open market? My Volvo dealer wants 150 just to pull the car in the shop. I can tell him what is wrong - I unplugged the connecter under the seat. Now I have a code. Will that be $150 stupid tax?

you can find a shop with VIDA DICE or you can google for the proprietary code meaning.
