The SRS Urgent Service required is displayed in the information display. Had the car scanned at my local mechanic and he indicated it was a lamp display code. I thought the best method was to take it to a certified Volvo dealer and have them scan it. I have attached the results in PDF. The tech indicates he would have to do a further diagnosis and likely pull the insturment panel out. He has only seen the code once and replacing the instrument panel was the fix. This a $1000.00 plus fix but nothing is wrong with the airbag system. Looking for other options. It is a shame to have this safety feature not operating in a vehicle which prides itself on safety.

 

I would find a friend that has a scanner that can clear srs and clear it to see if it comes back..if it doesn't come back then nothings wrong..I wouldn't pay 1 k right off the bat....

 

I would look up how to reset the service light. Based on your PDF file, that is your only error which is the service light on.

 

I have 00 Volvo s80 since 6 months. It was never crushed. srs airbag urgent message and airbag light showed about one month ago. I tried to cancel it but my mechanic couldn't do it. I decided to go to volvo service. I paid them €150 for diagnostic. They told that contact reel need to be replaced. I paid them €200 for new part and €120 for replace it. Then they told me that there is a problem with airbags in driver and passenger seat. Can someone tell me what is going on? I can't bieleve it!!!

 

I have a 2004 Volvo S80 T6. I was in a minor fender bender the other day. After the accident the car ran for about 5 miles then the engine began to spuutter. Stopped the car. Then when I try to start the car it cranks but does not start. There is a line where it shows what gear the car is in. Then there is two error messages: SRS Airbag Urgent Service. Then it has Anti Lock brake Service. Check engine light is on. Anyone have any ideas?

 

All that stuff started on our car when the ABS unit starting going goofy...

 

Has anyone tried one of the SRS Reset Services? Say they can reset the module for $49.95.

Sounds too good to be true.... (which means)
