Power steering fuse keeps blowing
While driving the power system goes out and I get a message please service power steering system. I checked the steering fluid and it was good. I then checked the fuses and discovered the 10A power steering fuse under the dash was blown. I replaced the fuse but it keeps blowing after driving. I anyone has a solution or has experienced this problem please let no know.

My #8 fuse (30 Amp) blows if I try to raise or lower the windows when the car is either not moving, or I turn the key on for just the electrical on before starting.
I have had to replace this fuse 3 times now. Would the steering column issue answer be the same for this problem as the others above?
Thanks,
TOTALLY CONFUSED about this one.

It's very confusing to tack on an unrelated problem to an OLD thread (almost exactly 10 years old).
What I'd recommend is to pull the fuse, and stick the leads of a leaded 12 volt bulb (preferably 10 watt or larger) into the fuse socket. Then, if the short circuit exists, the lamp will light up (and also limit the current so nothing gets burned up or even hot, other than the light bulb). Then you just have to figure out what "turns on the light bulb".
