Power steering service required
Hi all,
I have 2006 S40, 1.8 petrol 126hp.
I have had this issue for the last few months. My el.power steering pump just died. I`ve changed the pump several times, the angle sensor, fluid levels are ok, new alternator and battery...
Pump was working every time after I would change it and just randomly die after few weeks.
I`ve got the error saying that communication with the power steering module is missing.
Does anyone know what might be the next thing to look into? Could it be - or + exposure or central computer needs to be programmed because of the new sensor and pump?

Yes changing any of components on the S40 gen 2 seems to be problematic , they all need to be programmed to work with the main ecu , its a big problem as you need the software to marry them , othewise they are divorced and cost lots to fix , they want you to marry them and pay ridiculous prices from agents , not uncommon on most new cars
