I currently own a 2008 BMW 328xi. It's a great car. I'll being leasing another car the beginning of this year. However, it doesn't seem Volvo does leases. That aside, I have some questions about the S40.

I love the shape and size of the S40. It looks smaller than a 3 Series, which I wish they would have kept as small as the previous 3 Series models.

I've heard the 2011 S40 doesn't have great acceleration or power. However, I'm only interested in enough power to pass someone without too much trouble. Spinning the tires isn't something I'm interested in. Will the S40 do fine for regular driving?

How is the S40 (leather package) for long trips, comfort wise?

What about its reliability over a 3 to 5 year period?

How is it's handling? I've read it won't compare to 3 Series' handling but not sure what that means.

 

If you get a T5, it has plenty of power. The 2.4i is only adequate.
