question to confirm with the gurus
Guys, thank you for checking my thread, it will be greatly appreciated, if somebody steers me in the right direction. Yesterday i noticed, while i was driving my Volvo 1.9t auto 78k miles, that when i take the foot of the pedal, while driving, and then start accelerating again, i feel a little knock, when the transmission engages. I was wondering, if thats the tranny mount, or there is something bigger cooking underneath. The tranny shifts like brand new. Thanks in advance

What year car? The 2000 model is slightly different than the 2001-2004.
When my 2001 engine mounts wore out you could feel allot of vibration with the car idling, in gear, with your foot on the brake. Visually check the bottom mounts for cracks in the rubber. The mount over the trans is visible after you move the battery tray. The pax side main mount is easy to remove but I don't know any method for checking it.
Now my 2005 had a loud clunk when accelerating caused by a failed pax side main motor mount. The rubber had completely separated and wore down until only metal-on-metal was left. You knew it was bad when it came out in two pieces.

its a 2002, i am planning to lay under the car tomorrow and do a quick exam. Hopefully its a mount, i just got the car, and it was inspected by the service department, the only thing they replaced was a swaybar link before i bought it. Now the only thing is, the car was checked by toyota mechanics, since i work for toyota dealership, but they should of seen it.

I changed my Tranny fluid at about 105k miles. Did it over 3 days (3x), drain yields 3 litres, so I changed about 85% in theory using 2 5L jugs of Valvoline Maxilife Dex/Merc ATF (spec'ed for these Aisin AW55 transmissions, available at Walmart). I replaced the alum drain washer while I was at it but probably didn't need to.
