I have a 2002 S40 with a power antenna! The tip is broken off and the antenna will not raise! I hear the motor running when I shut off the vehicle. I see that they are selling carbon fiber antennas on ebay fairly cheap. Are they as good as a OEM antenna and will my antenna screw off to accept the carbon fiber antenna which has threads! The carbon fiber looks nice but will I have installation and performance problems?

After having tried all the fleabay ones and generic ones and a whole lot of junk I finally broke down and bought a genuine Volvo antenna. It works perfectly now.

Which one you try is strictly a personal choice. You get what you pay for.
