Replace pins or something on brake caliper?
My S40 1.9T's rear rotors and brake pads need replacing and I have those parts here. I was reading my Haynes manual and read something about the caliper pins or bolts that need to be replaced rather than reused. My rotors and pads didn't come with any other parts. I'm gonna be going to my mechanic for this anyway, so what should I do? Should I notify him about this fact and see what he says? I don't have the manual on me right now, but can the bolt be reused without issue?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't recall any hardware other than that pads for the S40 - but I think there is a retaining spring that's part of the pads. On my old 850 there was pin to allow the pads to slide out (cost about $5 for the kit) but the s40 has as different design. I think you should be good with just providing the pads and rotors.
