Replacing climate lights
Where can I find instructions on changing the cilmate control lights in the middle of the dash panel? I need to replace them. I know where to purchase them, but I do not know how to do the actual replacement.
Also, where may I find the part number and the replacement procedure for the clock light at the bottom of the tachometer which is on the extreme left side of the dashboard? I do not know how to replace it or even the part number for the light..
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The lights for the instrument cluster are mounted to the cluster itself. Basically, lower steering wheel, remove 2 screws in cluster surround, remove surround (need to be careful as the space is tight), remove screws holding cluster, pull cluster free, replace lights, install in reverse of removal. It's really not difficult. You just have limited room to move the cluster around to get it free of the dash. It will come out, just take your time.
Installing the cluster is only slightly tricky in that you must align the male connectors on the back side with the corresponding female slots on the cluster. Once aligned you simply push the cluster all the way in until the connectors are seated. If the alignment is off the cluster will stick out. You should be able to feel and hear the connectors seat.
If you have Windows XP Pro or Vista Business (not sure about Windows 7) go for the VIDA 2010C (or whatever version is latest/greatest) This will give you exploded views and part numbers and procedures, etc. I have XP Pro and it works great. I bought it off ebay for $30ish.
Once I get my DICE reader I'm in hog heaven.

it would be far easier to see a diagram on this. I just have a hard time picturing it in my mind from what you are saying. I have a CD on Volvo maintenance that I bought on Ebay. it has the Volvo logo and the called "The Electronic Service. Is thus what you are talking about?
