Default Replacing LCD lights on radio

the 2001 s40 has the model HU-615 factory radio installed. the LCD screen no longer lights up on radio.

does anybody know how to replace the bulbs on the LCD panel without destroying the radio?

it appears that everything is soldered to the circuit board...i can't figure a way to get the LCD screen off to access the bulbs underneath.

thanks very much.

I think I have an extra radio from my 2003 S40 (if I can find it). I can't get the radio code to work but the radio did work before I pulled it out of the car. I know the LCD still works do you think you could use it for parts?
