Default s40 2001 hesitation

I'm having a problem where the car sems to want to stall when I'm stopped and in gear. The rpms drop but never stalls. It doesn't happen if the car is in neutral or in park. I'm getting the codes p0015 and p0133. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had similar issue earlier this year but it only occured when the car was hot. Have you checked your spark plugs? are gap ok? in my case, it turned out that one of ignition coils were bad. Ignition coil is the 1st link above the spark plugs. 2 spark plugs use 1 coil. i think they are $30-40 each at Auto zone. When you open up the engine cover, please be careful when u close it down again - make sure that all harness does not 'constantly' touch the engine. otherwise, those electrical cables will get burned and you will get more electronic symtoms but wont point to that areas. it took me 3-4 months to figure out my problems. If you are in Charlotte, nc area, i can stop by and help.

Check the plugs carefully first. I had a hestiation problem in my 2000 S40 a few weeks ago, and when I pulled the plugs they initally looked ok. Even when I looked closely they looked ok. Based on that I was ready to do an injector flush or a coil replacement. But I got out a magnifying glass and took a look again and saw that 2 of the 4 plugs, at the insulator section just above the metal prong at the bottom of the plug, were cracked. The cracks were obvious under the magnifying glass, but were almost unseeable by the naked eye. So I suggest you look at the pugs very closely first. Remember, $20 worth of spark plugs is alot less than $120 worth of coils (or worse). Good luck, post back to tell us what happened.
