S40 2007 SE electrics?
Hi thanks for welcoming me to the forum.
I have a problem in that when I’m driving I get a limp home mode although everything appears normal, then today I’m getting a seat belt warning and airbag caption as I drive even though I’ve reconnected the seat belt and all other seats are empty. At one point windows would not change position.
I’ve been to a local parts shop who have confirmed the battery is ok and so is the charge/alternator……has anyone else had similar or maybe know what the problem could be?

Your first step would be to scan all the control units in the car - and consult a wiring diagram, then develop a rational diagnostic plan from that information. Comprehensive scan tools can record why the air bag light is on.
The SRS can get out of whack if you disconnect parts of it while the battery is connected (or reconnect the battery while SRS components are unplugged).
You won't be able to clear that fault with a regular OBD scanner, but there are Volvo-specific scanners that do have the ability to reset an SRS fault. Probably cheaper than a trip to the stealership to do the same, too.
The window isn't related. If it is working now, pretend it never failed. ;-)
