Hey, could anyone give me directions or at least an idea as to the process of removing the exterior door handles on an '01 S40. I'm trying to switch from the black plastic to the '03 chrome/bodycolor style. The treatment of Forever Black i appliedhas failed me and I am fed up with the grey door handles[sm=headbang.gif]. Is it a fairly easy process or should I just give half of my soul and money to the dealer and have them do it? I know from the dealer I'm probably looking @ a few hundred for the handles but If I could do the install myself, that would be great.

Searching google... this is on the newer model S40's.. maybe the same? A plastic plug on the door shell is pried off, revealing a screw. The screw is turned four-to-five times to release the lock cylinder and handle.
