S40 Marker Light Bulb Replacement
Hi all, just brought my first volvo a 1999 S40 and notice the marker lights on both rear sides do not work, how do you take them off to get to the bulbs as it says in the manual to take it into volvo....not got that kinda cash!
Any advice would be great
Thanks Nick

RE: S40 Marker Light Bulb Replacement
Not necessarily. The instruction is from VADIS to the dealers who will replace a full unit to get more income. However, looking at the parts list there is a bulb listed for it (Volvo part number 949671 up to MY 2000). Get the unit out and remove the bulb and you may find you can buy one at a parts shop.

I posted similar a few weeks ago.
Order the parts from breakeryard.com, costs about £10 inc. p&p, i,e. side marker OSR, side marker NSR.
Gently prise the unit out with a small screwdriver from the bumper end. Otherwise you have to remove inner wheel arch cover.
SNip the old unit off. Strip back the cable outer and twist the copper strands, connect to new unit using 5amp connector block. The unit is seal and bulb cannot be replaced. Place unit in position and clip back into place.
