We bought an S40 new in 2005, it has AWD and a turbo, an automatic transmission, and about 75k miles. Today it did something I have never seen happen in any car before it will not come out of neutral. The only way I can get the key out of the ignition is to disconnect the battery. I can reconnect the battery and restart the car but as soon as I move the shifter back it locks in neurtral. Once in neutral I cannot get it out till I disconnect the battery again...
