i have an 04.5 t5 and just put in the k and N typhoon intake which is great, i can hear the DV valve now but i am not satisfied, i was wondering if it smarter to put in boost control, or puta chip in my car. I have been looking at the prices and EBC is cheaper but i do not know if anyone has it and thinks it is worth it. Also can you put blow off valve in or just a new Diverter Valve

I suggest a chip.
A (MBC, Manual Boost Controller) wont work on your 04 model s40T5. The 99+ model cars don't like the MBC's. As for an EBC I don't know, but again I suggest a ECU upgrade.

You can add a BOV. You have two mounting places.
1. If your Upper IC pipe is Aluminum you can have a Aluminum flange (adapter) welded to that pipe and add the BOV to it and run a vaccum line.
2. If you don't have an Upper IC pipe that is Aluminum, you will have to cut your stock Upper Intercooler Hose in half. Insert a T-adapter,
and insert both ends into the hose and clamp them done tight. Then attach the BOV to the top. Run a vaccum line and your good to go.

Your BCS (DV) will still be functional which is fine. Unless you want to block it off with a blanking plate which can be bought from Kevin (TheUnderlord) on Volvospeed. Tell him what car you got to be sure it fits your cars turbo.

If your an automatic your BOV will only go off when you let off the gas, like mine does. Check my CarDomain for pictures and soundclips of it.
If your manual obviously it will go off when you shift gears.
To answer a question I didn't answer, to get more boost get an ECU upgrade. That is the way to go.

BSR has that handheld computer, its neat cuz it stores the factory setting and downloads the performance upgrade to your computer. So you can swtich back and forth, when you need to go to the delearship. Im thinking of geting one because the gains are around 50hp and about 50lbs of torque.

I suggest BSR took, although it is so damn exspensive.
I would suggest you do a STAGE 0 on your car before you get the BSR. You want to most out of it so make sure all the little odds and ends are fixed so that you can boost what BSR sets it to without blowing a hose etc...
