sometimes I get lots of smoke when cruising at around 70mph and sometimes during acceleration from 75 through 90 in fifth gear. but then the smoke stops and i can accelerate hard through the revs in any gear with no smoke at all. whats happening, please help

No check engine light, recently had a new turbo. it generaly happen at 3000 rpm

Check for oil leaks from the turbo, this can cause smoke from the burned leaked oil.

Check all of the hoses off the Vent box really good for clogs.

I had a look for oil leaks. cant find any. Tech, i dont where to locate the vent box. please advise. cheers

The Vent box is under the intake manifold on the right side of the car. It is like behind the Alt. and A/C compressor. It bolts to the front of the block.

Hi, checked the turbo again for leakage and found a very small amount of oil. not enough to drip to the ground. is this bad. if bad how bad. cheers

Was it coming from the side by the induction hose?

If so it is normal for you to have a little bit there.

I has seemed to clear up recently. I will be doing some miles over the weekend so I will give you somemore feedback monday.

The smoke might have been oil burn off from the bad turbo.
