I seem to be having difficulty finding the correct plug gap for my Volvo.

It seems hard to find.

I think it should be something like .7

I also read somewhere that if you have your engine chipped you should decrease the gap. How much I dont know, I dont even know if this is true.

any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

 

Try setting at .30 and see what happens that is what we set the stock at.

What do you know about the closer gap thing if you have moded the car, I have never heard of this before.

I was wondering if there was somesort of theory.

 

I never heard of closing the Gap. I have heard of running a Wider gap to run a hotter spark on a Modded car.

 

Speaking of spark plugs...my wife's 03 S40 is due for new plugs...the original plugs say "Volvo" on them but they are made in Germany...I'm guessing they are made by Bosch?

What are the best plugs to replace?
