Hello all. I'm new to the forum.

I just bought a 2004.5 S40. Everything Seemed to check out with the exception of the abs light on. Inspection showed it was the front left (driver's side), and the tech said he thought it could just be a sensor. I wasn't too worried, so I proceeded with the purchase.

It wasn't til after the sale that I noticed the sport shift feature doesn't seem to work. Moving up and down and from + to - produces no upshifts or downshifts. The transmission just continues to drive as normal, as if the sport shift doesn't exist. Otherwise the car drives beautifully, and in auto mode it's perfect.

I'm wondering if this may have to do with the abs issue, or if they're two separate problems.

The sport shift most often has to do with the magnet/sensors that are right under the shifter, happened to some one else on the forum i think.
