Starter issues 04 S40
Help needed, I have 04 S40 that when temperature drops below 3° will not run.. starts fine but it's like the fuel isn't being pushed through.. it will happily idle for 10seconds then drop out, then come back to life this continues for few drops then completely cuts out. Seems like the computer is telling it not to put anymore fuel through..... any help appreciated
or it seems like the fuel pump is cutting out? Usual question - have you scanned for any fault codes? As a quick test you can try jumpering the fuel pump relay to see if that does anything. otherwise you may need to test for fuel pressure to see if its dropping out (ie bad relay, bad pump, loose connection, issue with the fuel pressure sensor etc.
