I test-drove a 2000 S40 today and loved it. The only problem is that there was a steady up arrow lit on the dashboard and I can't figure out what that means. I looked through the owner's manual and did a Google search, but all I could come up with is that there's a problem if that light is blinking. Is this light supposed to remain on/steady when the car is operating properly? Thanks.

 

No it is not supposed to stay on when driving.
It will stay on if the car is in Winter mode though.
