Hi all, can anyone advise or share a similar experience.
Recently my 2005 S40 T5 has started making a clicking/ticking sound from behind the front right headlamp, usually after turning the engine off but also heard it whilst engine is running (it's quite fast...similar sound to a fast indicator ticking, it normally lasts about 30 seconds a just stops by itself but also a quick thumb with my hand stops it).
I don't know if its something to do with the A/C as its been hot recently or it's something to do with the central locking...maybe electrical or something completely different.
It doesn't sound like the car cooling down or anything like that nor anything to do with the steering
Any help would be most welcome.

Turn the car on, then turn the AC on, then open the hood and see if the radiator fan is on. It should be. If it's not, maybe you have a bad fan relay.

 

There are quite a few moving parts in that area. Definitely need to narrow it down a bit. Either a mechanics stethoscope or maybe rubber hose placed to your ear will help find the source.
