Hello.
I have a nice 1998 s40. My wife has a 02 jetta. The jetta has a softer ride than mine. My wife doesn´t like the ride of my volvo. She says it is very rough. I like her to be with me in my volvo. The roads in our country are designed mainly for SUV´s. Is there a way I can make my volvo´s suspension softer?
Any suggestion will be very appreciated. ( if I don´t find the way to make my volvo softer, I will have to sell it or trade it. You know how powerful women sometimes are)

Abelsa, have you heard of a divorce?? I can't believe you would succumb to your wife's demands regarding your auto!! to answer your question, you can either obtain a set of Koni adjustable "shocks" or go to Sears and get a set of generic shocks to replace yours. Be forwarned however that Volvo spent conciderable time developing the correct valving for your struts and shocks and you are truly defeating their R & D to change. Why not tool around town in your wifes, gag, Volkswagen??
