Temperature Gauge Reads 20 degrees in 100 degree Weather!

Hey Guys!
I own a 2006 T5, and for the last year my external temp reading will drop down to anywhere from 20 to 40 degrees F while its 80 to 100 degrees in reality. This causes the AC system to incorrectly calibrate. Im tired of my ac spitting out 90 degree air in 100 degree temperatures.
Its a pain in the *** to get in to all the programming and I am hoping someone else out there had this problem and found a way to fix it.

Sounds like you just need a new ambient temperature sensor... or might be corrosion in the module. Read up on it here...
