Transmission fluid Mobil 3309
I want to change the transmission fluid in my 2003 S40 and I have read plenty of posts aboutwhich fluid to use. Is Mobil 3309 the proper fluid or can I use Mobil 1? There are so many posts but no one can agree on what is best. Also finding ATF 3309 seems to be only by mail order.
Vadis shows it is supposed to be the Mobil 3309.(Volvo fluid though from what I hear)
But we have used the Valvoline fluid that I have posted about and showed proof from Valvoline that it will work fine in the transmission.
Only you can really decide what you want to install in there.

Which Valvoline? Is there a specific type? I don't think my local autoparts store has the Mobil 3309 (maybe at NAPA) so I'm willing to try something else if you know it works okay. I'm planning on doing the drain and fill and then drive a while drain and fill again.
