I'm wondering where y'all put jackstands on your S40.&nbsp\\; The lack of a slot like the jack has bothers me.&nbsp\\; Any suggestions?

 

what year is your s40...i know my s40 has arrows along the sideskirts pointing to where you should use the jack...

 

It's a 2001 - it has arrows showing where to use the jack - what I want to know is how one uses jackstands - I'm assuming that the ridge of metal (that fits in the slot of the regular jack) won't support the car if I put a jackstand under it.

 

it will support it just place the jackstand under the ridge and lower the jack and there you go...

 

That wasn't apparent to me based on the flimsy look of that ridge. Thanks!
