Default Voltage at the Idle Air Controller?

I’m pretty sure my IAC is not working on my 2000 S40; idles too low, stalls without foot on accelerator, acts the same when IAC is unplugged.

Testing the IAC it get 10 ohms, seems good.
Cleaned IAC, parts all move inside. Reinstall but still not idling.

So before dropping $200 on a new IAC I check the voltage to the unit (with key off no voltage), and I get 0.5 volts. I can’t find anything that says what the voltage should be.

Is ½ a volt the right amount of juice?
Does the voltage change based on engine temp or other factors?

Thanks for any help,
JF

Default In the ballpark?

Another question; is .5 volts in the ballpark or is that just way low? Are most things run at 12 volts in the engine bay or is everything coming from the computers low 'computer friendly' voltage most of the time?
