I have recently figures out that by alternator is shot and I'm having trouble figuring out what model alternator to replace mine with.

You have 68 as the engine code - which maps to the B5254T3 nomenclature - aka the T5 (turbo). Armed with that info, you can go to any number of web sites such as volvopartswarehouse.com or tascaparts.com or FCPEURO.COM or eeuroparts.com (four sites I've used). A quick check on FCP suggests 30659369 is the OEM part number but you should verify.
