Default Volvo s40 2008 2.4 Check Engine Light and Triangle red light on

when i turn on the car the message indicates to increase speed or change, but the complete message does not appear, like i mentioned the car does start but after a while like 30-45 seconds it turns off as it is not revving well, I checked the engine oil level and it was at the minimum I still haven't had the time to level it up but on these days I'll be buying the oil and I hope that would solve the issue... please help...

A quart of 2 of oil will not solve your issue. You need to scan the car with a compatible scanner. The stored codes causing the check engine light to be on may give you a clue as to what is causing your problem - you may want to seek professional help (for your car) -

100% min oil is still ok (as long as its registering on the dip stick) so you need to check fault codes with a On board scanner , If you do not have one then most garages will do it for you , at a cost but its your only option , not guaranteed to diagnose it properly but its the only way if one is not familiar with these cars
As your have not told us what the actual problem message is its impossible to diagnose

If you are in the US, check with a local big box parts store like Autozone who will "rent" you a scanner for free and interpret the codes (obviously their goal is to sell you some parts). Also, ask around your local repair shops even a dealer as some will do the OBD2 scan for free. Another option is to buy your own code reader. I gave my son a $29 reader from Harbor Freight for his S40 and it works fine for most P codes.
