Hi all,

I need te replace my Volvo s40 2.0 petrol year 2011 fuel pump. This generation is powered by Ford engines B4204S3. I m struggling in internet for finding the exact pump but i m confused . All the publications of the "fuel pump" us terms like conveyer unit, sender unit , module that in my understanding means just the case without pump. Many of them are aftermarket [parts and i m not clear which is what. If any of you guys can direct me or send any information about the fuel pump that suit to my car I will appreciate.

Hi , another question, my old pump has 4 spin electrical connectors but the aftermarket pumps are with 6 spin electrical connectors ( see. photos). Its, compatible the 6 pin connector pump?

 

I wouldn't worry about that. The two connectors look compatible, but the OEM pump plug is just missing a couple pins. The new pump has the pins, but they will be unused. The one proviso in my assumption is that the plug doesn't have "blanked out holes" corresponding to those missing pins (don't know why it would but...).
