I just bought ProScan universal OBD2 Software/Hardware from http://www.myscantool.com/(OBD2/USB) for my 2001 S40 1.9T. ... However I am having problems connecting via the software (no errors, just hangs). I have contacted their tech support, but have to wait until they look into the problem.

Has anyopne had issues / sucess with this and/or other OBD software for an S40?

there are many programs that do not work with volvo's...search the threads...

 

I found a free softwarefrom scantool.net which works perfectly with the ProScan hardware (a bit basic, but was able to read data, codes and reset CEL) ... here is the link

I'm still waiting for ProScan's response because their software has some nice features. It is supposed to be compatible with a 2001 S40 according to their website, so I hope it's just a setting somewhere.
