hi. My volvo v40 not working clock, but when engine start up clock works.

 

does the clock work when you turn the key to position 2 or only when the engine is running? Are you referring to the digital clock in the instrument cluster?

 

yes clock work when the key ir position 2.

 

is this the clock in the instrument cluster? Do you know if anybody did any work on the car - ie replaced the ignition switch/key? You can try reading up on the wiring at volvowiringdiagrams.com but if its the digital clock in the instrument cluster, I'd say either the problem is in the key/ignition switch, somebody altered the wiring or in the cluster itself. If you can get your hands on a replacement instrument cluster (say one from a yard with a return policy) it should be pretty direct to swap out for a test.. Are there any other odd behaviors going on ie other courtesy lights not working correctly?

 

yes clock is in the instument cluster and it is digital. This problem star when I take off battery, before clock goes.
And all lights works correctly.
