Default Weather tech or Volvo OEM

Hi,

I recently picked up a 2006 S40, and I'm in the process of making some minor improvements to it. I'm planning to purchase new all weather floor mats, window deflectors (the AC works intermittently), and a roof rack.

My question is: would you recommend going the OEM route or buying Weather Tech (floor mats and window deflectors) and Thule (roof rack) products. I want products that fit reasonably well and will last me several years. Thanks!

Rob

Not sure why you would want aftermarket when you can get factory mat sets at $57.65 and factory bars at $221.36

If I'm not mistaken, the factory rack bars are Thule... Here's my daughter's 850T wagon with its factory bars in action!

I selected the rubber Weathertech for the rear floor mats. The OEM mats in my 2005 were fabric and they soaked up a ton of coolant when the heater core O-rings started leaking.

Good to know. Thanks for the info all. I've had Volvo OEM floor mats in the past. I'm going to give the Weathertech a shot this time around. It sounds like they have several layers for additional cushioning.
