My wife and I had been noticing an increasing strong smell of burning plastic whenever we use the seat warmers on her '08 s40.

As of this month, the car dies whenever we turn on the driver side seat warmer. Anybody heard of this????? Know what to do?????
dealership wont cover it b/c its 'after market'

Last year, we had to replace a battery not even a year after we bought the car (seemed soon). And a few weeks ago the dealership replaced the alternator (under warranty). I can tell that as of late this electric problem is really tough on our battery.

Starting to think we have an evil seat warmer.
