I discovered this hose was broken off on the end nearest the engine block.

Can anyone tell me what it's for? Part number & Use?

I found it at RockAuto under Fuel/Air : Idle Air Control Valve Hose with a part number of 30637166. This for my 2001 S40.

I found it on another parts supplier page as well.


That kind of explains the car not wanting to idle on initial start in the mornings...



Funny that after it warms up, it idles perfectly with that hose dangling in the air....
