I found a Volvo part, number 30864008, in the back of my desk drawer last weekend. I know it is a bulb, I know it goes somewhere on the dash, but I am unsure exactly where it goes. I also know that is goes on a 2002 Volvo s40 car. That is my Volvo model and year.

On the plastic bag is a parts sticker with the number is 313 37085. I do not know what that one means. The section with the number is titled location.

I am really curious where the parts goes on my dash. As I said it is a bulb, but for what section of the dash?

It is a standard instrument panel bulb, there are around 20 of them all together. SKANDIX has a pic:

Newport, a good trick is to go to tascaparts.com or volvopartswarehouse.com and plug a keyword to find a part or parts number into their search to find a diagram or model.
