i just recently bought a 2006 s40 2.4i and i have $500 to put into it at the moment, and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas with what would be the best way to spend that putting it into my volvo?

 

What are you into? Interior/Exterior, Suspension, Engine mods?

 

well i was thinking like an intake/exhaust and maybe some tints. im getting $1000 for my truck, and i have $500 on top of that to put into it. tints should be around $200 so i have the rest for whatever. whats the cheapest i could get a pretty good intake and exhaust for it?

 

you can either custom fab your own cold air intake or you can buy either the EuroSportsTuning ram air intake, or the BMC CDA intake...as far as exhaust the best route is to hook up with a custom exhaust shop and go with 3" dp followed to a straight flow muffler...I would also look into the 14t upgrade since you have the funds...lastly would be a definite ecu tune by whatever company you prefer that does volvo, i recommend upsolute...

 

what would be the price on each of those?

 

intakes? the est intake is around 140-180 or something? been a while since I bought it...the bmc one is around 2 i believe....s70driver knows the price of the est intake...just go to eurosporttuning.com

 

actually i wasnt thinking...you have the 2.4 s40, you should be able to the buy the kn typhoon cold air i believe...

yea your paying for the name thats why...dont know about any other brands for cold air intakes...you have to realize though that the performance gains will be a bit higher with a cold air intake rather than just a ram air intake...its up to you whether you want to spend that money...

 

New rims and tires would be a good start. Then lower it. Next step is to slap on some body kits. That's just for starters. Next would be engine modification (I-H-E), then some interior work. Keep us updated on your ride!

haha so i just got a flowmaster exhaust with two new tips, and i tinted the whole thing with limo in the back and 35 in the front, its looking and sounding pretty dope. im thinking a chip and an intake next? any suggestions?

is that flowmaster a straight flo through type? You dont want to choke up your exhaust even more..best mufflers for a turbo arefree flowing mufflers..

 

i dont have a turbo...
